Y4 had a brilliant day today as they took part in our first ever ‘hackathon’. As part of the Do Your :bit Challenge the children were tasked with designing a technological solution to real world problems. These were aligned with the UN’s Global Goals and included aims such as Climate Change and Health and Wellbeing. The children worked exceptionally hard on this project and produced some fantastic ideas, of their own, from low-cost smart watches to automatic fire fighters! These were then coded using our brand new Micro:bits to see how they would work in the real world! We were really impressed by the children’s enthusiasm and passion for the project, and they should all be extremely proud of themselves. Well done Year 4!
